This artwork is part of a whimsical painting series that flits and flutters into the dramatic lives of butterfly and monarch families, proving that even insects have their own soap operas. Witness the chaos of a monarch toddler throwing a tantrum mid-migration ("But I WANT to eat the WHOLE milkweed leaf!"), or the awkwardness of a butterfly teen trying to impress their crush with a clumsy aerial display. Each painting is a snapshot of relatable family moments, reminding us that even with wings, life can still be a bit of a circus.

The Nectars

The Nectars were a family of sweethearts, both literally and figuratively. Papa Nectar, a fuzzy moth with a perpetually dusted nose, often declared, "Life is too short to skip dessert!" Mama Nectar, a delicate butterfly with a knack for baking, would reply with a smile, "Just be sure to save some room for dinner, dear." Their sons, Pip and Squeak, were constantly buzzing with energy, their tiny bodies fueled by an endless supply of nectar popsicles. One sunny afternoon, the Nectars decided to have a picnic in the meadow. Pip and Squeak, armed with their sticky popsicles, embarked on a mission to find the perfect spot, leaving a trail of colorful drips in their wake. Papa Nectar, attempting to spread a blanket on the grass, accidentally tripped over a hidden rock, sending a shower of nectar sandwiches flying. Mama Nectar, simply laughed and said, "Well, at least the ants will have a feast!" The Nectars, a family overflowing with sweetness and laughter, embraced the sticky situation, reminding each other that life, like nectar, is best enjoyed when shared with loved ones.
