The Story
Manilow the magpie wasn't known for his musicality. Forget soaring ballads, this feathered Barry Manilow impersonator croaked out a series of flat, off-key notes that sounded suspiciously like a rusty hinge protesting its existence. He'd strut around the garden, tail feathers fanned out like a sequined cape, serenading unsuspecting worms with his rendition of "Copacabana" (which, let's be honest, was more of a dirge). The other birds, used to the sweet melodies of robins and the cheerful chirps of sparrows, would wince and cover their ears, desperately hoping a stray cat would develop a sudden appreciation for classic soft rock.
