Tango & Talon
The Story
Tango and Talon, the sparrow brothers, were as different as feathers and talons (shocking, we know). Tango, the elder by a whole five minutes, was all about smooth moves. He'd sidle up to the feeder with a chirp that could charm a worm out of its burrow, his every step a graceful ballet. Talon, on the other hand, was a feathered bull in a china shop. He'd crash-land at the feeder, scattering seeds like confetti, his entire demeanor a squawked demand for someone to "hurry up with the breakfast buffet!" Their approaches may have been different, but their goals were the same: maximum seeds, minimum effort. Tango would use his charm to weasel his way closer to the prime sunflower seeds, while Talon would employ a kamikaze dive-bombing technique that often startled more seeds out of beaks than he could ever hope to catch. Watching them was like a slapstick comedy routine played out in feathers. You never knew if Tango would win the day with his silver tongue, or if Talon would accidentally knock himself silly in his blind dive for breakfast. But one thing was for sure, these sparrow brothers brought a whole new meaning to the term "bird-brained."
