The Story
Elizabeth, the Victoria crowned pigeon, wasn't just beautiful, she knew it. She'd strut around her enclosure with her magnificent blue plumage puffed out and her lacy crest held high, like a feathered Marie Antoinette. While the other pigeons squabbled over stale birdseed, Elizabeth preferred a more discerning palate. No, for her, it had to be the ripest,juiciest mango slices, delivered on a silver platter (or, you know, a plastic cafeteria tray). Woe betide any zookeeper who dared bring anything less than perfect produce. Elizabeth would give them a withering stare that could curdle milk at twenty paces.
