The Story
Disco the pigeon wasn't your average street performer. Forget stale bread crumbs, this feathered John Travolta craved glitter. He'd strut around the park with a discarded sequin glued (who knows how) to his head, cooing in a rhythm that vaguely resembled a disco beat. Pigeons usually blend in, but not Disco. He was a walking (well, waddling) disco ball, a one-bird party that other pigeons eyed with a mix of awe and concern. If you saw a flash of rainbow reflecting off a pile of fries, that was just Disco, dazzling the pigeons (and possibly terrifying the hot dog vendors) with his flamboyant hustle.
